Build Decolonized Strategy

Community-led strategy and evaluation

We support communities in decolonizing systems and building leadership from the margins.

You are ready to move beyond performative equity work and build authentic power with communities most impacted by systemic inequities.

You recognize that traditional approaches haven’t shifted power or addressed root causes. You’re ready to decolonize your practice.

You like to bridge the gaps.

  • You are ready to decolonize your work but need clarity on what that means and how to do it.

  • You believe those most impacted should shape the direction of your work.

  • You are ready for strategy, evaluation and narrative change that advances your mission with an orientation toward justice.

  • You understand that changing narratives without shifting power and resources does not create material change.

About Us

Speaker

Create Good is a BIPOC woman-led organization founded by Naaima Khan to decolonize approaches to social change. We support communities building power from within.

In over 15 years in challenging systemic inequities, Naaima brings deep insight from experiences of marginalization and a commitment to building power alongside communities, not for them.

At Create Good, we believe justice isn’t just a goal - it’s a practice. It’s time to move from repeatedly observing how systems fail to live up to their promises to building into the work that we know is more effective.

The social good sector can and should do better.

Our Mission

We support communities in decolonizing systems and building leadership from the margins.

What Our Clients Say

“Naaima is an engaging and provocative presenter who encourages participants to be vulnerable.”

-The Open Door

“Naaima was kind, thoughtful, extremely prepared and a good facilitator, especially her willingness to be responsive to expressed needs of the group. I think we are in good hands with Create Good and I'm excited to continue this process!”

-826 MSP

“What I have enjoyed most about collaborating with Naaima is her gift of process facilitation. When we built our logic model, we had both ENFPs and ISTJs (Myers Briggs) on our planning team. Naaima facilitated a process that recognized, incorporated, and leveraged the divergent thinking and preferred communication styles of all our participants which led to an outcome that exceeded expectations.”

-Eric A., Stillwater Public Schools

“Naaima built our team’s capacity to do and enjoy program evaluation. She was helpful in getting us clarity on what data we needed, a plan for how to collect it and a method for using it to improve our programs.

-StoryArk

"Energetically, I felt that you truly cared about our success. You came with questions, concerns, attunement to what was needed, and naming things that were issues."

-Brooklyn Bridge Alliance for Youth

“Create Good did an amazing job translating our needs into an understandable, useful, racial equity-centered evaluation. The logic model and evaluation plan Create Good developed were straightforward and spot on. They constantly asked for feedback and made adjustments. Naaima was very easy to work with and was always prompt, forward thinking and reflective.”

-Center for Economic Inclusion

Our Decolonized Approach

Our work is rooted in:

  • Community sovereignty and self-determination

  • Power redistribution, not representation

  • Multiple ways of knowing beyond Western metrics

  • Building from the margins, not imposing from the center

  • Challenging systems that extract rather than invest
